This isn't my typical post, but when Sara reached out about family portraits with their dog Dierks, I couldn't resist. I will be shooting Sara & Nate's wedding this spring, and they had mentioned before that they wanted some photos with their dog Dierks on the big day. But you see, Dierks is sick and they aren't sure he'll make it until May. It breaks my heart to know that this sweet guy is hurting, but his amazing parents made a brilliant bucket list for him.

Some of the things on his list include eating a steak, breakfast in bed, and my favorite, "take a bubble bath in a clawfoot tub!". I'm SO happy that I was able to help with number 7, "Take Family Pictures". We spent some time exploring their beautiful house and he showed me all his favorite spots -- especially the front door, where he likes to sit and watch the cars drive by.
